Please be present and signed in by 4:30 pm to be seen. It is open to low-income citizens of Montgomery and you do not need an appointment. The Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program provides volunteer-based, client-focused legal services to primarily low-income residents of Alabama who would not otherwise receive legal assistance. Volunteers provide legal assistance through both direct representation and through a variety of legal advice and legal assistance clinics. The legal advice clinics offer free, limited legal advice and referral to Alabama residents with legal issues who might otherwise have no access to the legal system. Attorney volunteers meet with individuals to analyze problems, identify community resources and offer legal advice on a variety of topics.
